From the past to the present Groth & Co's roots go back to the 19th century, founded in 1869 by Lorentz Albrecht Theodor Groth.
His contemporaries during this eventful era were e.g. Abraham Lincoln, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and August Renoir. And of course Alfred Nobel who, by the way, was one of Groth's clients right from the beginning. Among our early clients were many other groundbreaking thinkers who contributed epoch-making inventions, such as:
George Westinghouse - Transmission of electric power (A.C.), inventions of importance to railway development.
Thomas Alva Edison - Telegraphy, the phonograph and the filament light bulb.
Gustav de Laval - The centrifugal separator and the steam turbine.
Nicolaus Otto - The four-stroke internal combustion engine.
