Christian is a patent consultant specializing in mechanical technology, medical technology and electrical installations. His experience includes, among others, working with building components, material science, appliances including robotic appliances, production lines, current sensors, percutaneous devices, implants and dental implants. He is an adviser on patent strategies, evaluating patents, prosecution, novelty searches and Freedom-to-Operate (FTO).
Over the past years, Christian has co-founded and scaled a patent-renewal platform for small and mid-sized businesses, guiding it from idea to paying clients. He then became Product Manager for the AI efforts at a SaaS company in the intellectual property industry, where he led a cross-functional team of AI engineers and software developers to deploy production-grade large language-model solutions. Today, he still advises IP clients while applying his hands-on experience with LLMs to streamline search, drafting, and portfolio analytics in close collaboration with clients. Christian leads the AI efforts at Groth & Co.
Christian was born in Switzerland and German is his native language. In addition, he is fluent in the two other languages of the European Patent Office, i.e. French and English.
