Leif is a senior patent consultant, specializing in mechanical engineering, medical technology, Clean Tech, industrial robots, electrical energy, agricultural machines, brakes, gearboxes, screw compressors and hydraulics. He is an adviser on infringement cases, Due Diligence and Freedom-to-Operate (FTO), as well as acting as a technical representative in legal disputes. Leif works with opposition, appeals and verbal negotiations at the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV) and the European Patent Office (EPO).
Leif has worked as an examiner at both the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV) and the European Patent Office (EPO), and as a patent engineer in industrial companies. He has also served as Principal Secretary of the Committee on Technology Transfer at the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
Leif is co-author of ”Lagarna inom immaterialrätten”, a book on IP law, published by Norstedts Juridik in 2008 as well as the book on technology transfer ”Handel med Teknik” (Ds H 1981:3). Leif has served on the European Qualifying Examination Committee at the EPO where he developed examination questions and graded European Qualifying Examination papers.
